Palestinians in Europe launch EU initiative for prisoners’ rights

Bulk 210BRUSSELS (PNIC):-Palestinians in Europe Conference launched a European initiative for the rights of Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails on the occasion of Palestinian Prisoner Day which coincides on April 17.

In a press statement on Tuesday, Palestinians in Europe Conference said that the initiative aimed at drawing the attention of European decision makers to the issue of Palestinian prisoners and putting an end to the suffering of the families of thousands of Palestinian captives.

The statement also highlighted that the initiative looks forward to supporting the legitimate rights of Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails and to exposing the Israeli crimes practiced against them.

The initiative announced a series of activities and events that will focus on the suffering of Palestinian detainees and on staging cultural and artistic exhibitions. Workshops and lectures are going to be staged as well across Europe for introducing the issue of Palestinian detainees to the world.
