Gaza9Feb1RAFAH (PNIC):-Palestinian national and Islamic forces in Gaza on Friday afternoon staged a protest in the southern city of Rafah in support of Jerusalem and in condemnation of the blockade imposed on Gaza.

The participants raised Palestinian flags and banners denouncing the US president Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

Member of the National and Islamic Committee in Rafah, Rasmi Abu al-Enein, called in his speech on the Palestinian people to continue their protests until Trump backtracks on his decision.

Abu al-Enein stressed that the US Jerusalem move is a clear evidence that the US was never an honest broker for the peace process.

He called on the Arab and Islamic nations to act against the US biased policy and asked the Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah to lift the sanctions imposed on the Gaza Strip and put an end to the humanitarian crisis plaguing the besieged enclave.
