Five Palestinians injured in Israeli quelling of protest in Jerusalem

Gaza14Nov4OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (PNIC):-Five Palestinians on Saturday evening were wounded after Israeli quelling of a demonstration in Occupied Jerusalem.

According to Quds Press, a number of Palestinian activists participated in a demonstration in Salah Uddin Street in the city in protest at the US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The protesters carried Palestinian flags and chanted pro-Jerusalem slogans. Meanwhile, Israeli police were intensively deployed in the area.

Israeli policemen confiscated the Palestinian flags before quelling the protest, using sound grenades. As a result, some injuries were reported among Palestinians.

One of the protesters was arrested and five others were wounded by Israeli stun grenades during clashes that erupted in Salah Uddin Street.
