Gaza10June5RAMALLAH (PNIC):-Families of the seven journalists, who are currently held in PA prisons, called for mass participation in a sit-in to be organized on Saturday in Ramallah in protest against their sons’ arbitrary detention.

Seven journalists are currently held in PA jails, five of them were detained last Wednesday.

On Thursday, five Palestinian journalists announced waging an open hunger strike in protest at extending their detention orders to various periods.

The Palestinian journalists syndicate earlier condemned the arrest of the five pressmen and described it as an aggression on the freedom of journalism and a violation of the right to freedom of speech.
