Eng290RAMALLAH (PNIC):-Islamic and National Forces of the Ramallah and al-Bireh district, in the central occupied West Bank, announced that several buses would set off from various West Bank districts, carrying activists and supporters to Khan al-Ahmar village, east of Jerusalem, on Thursday.

The Coordinator of the Islamic and National Forces of the Ramallah and al-Bireh district, Issam Bakr, said that activists and supporters coming to Khan al-Ahmar via the buses, would be stay the night at the village, in order to defend the land against Israeli bulldozers that may demolish the village at any moment and displace its residents.

Bakr told the Palestinian Authority (PA)-owned Voice of Palestine radio that delegations from the Salfit and Ramallah districts would arrive to the village on Friday in show of solidarity.

In addition, Friday prayers would be performed at Khan al-Ahmar, on Friday noon, before a solidarity march sets off from the village towards the main street.

The announcement followed after the evacuation period, which was granted by Israel's High Court, ended on October 1st, allowing Israeli forces to to carry out the planned demolition.

The Khan al-Ahmar village is inhabited by about 181 Palestinians, 53% of whom are children and 95% of whom are refugees registered with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), who are threatened with displacement from their village, as part of an Israeli plan to expand the nearby illegal Kfar Adummim settlement.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that the approved demolition comes under "the Israeli plan of Judaization in the eastern area of occupied Jerusalem and the area of Jordan Valley, through the creation of a network of large settlement streets towards occupied Jerusalem, to eliminated the possibility of geographical communication between parts of the occupied West Bank, and ultimately alter the establishment of a Palestinian state geographically interconnected with Jerusalem as its capital."
