Israeli forces detain 14 Palestinians across West Bank

Eng262RAMALLAH (PNIC):-Israeli forces detained at least 14 Palestinians, on predawn Wednesday, during raids carried out throughout the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) confirmed that Israeli forces detained two Palestinians from the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem; they were identified as Muhammad Rajah Issa and Diaa Muhammad Zaoul.

In the central West Bank district of Jerusalem, Israeli forces detained nine Palestinians; they were identified as Ghassan Elayyan, Khalid Abu Ghosh, Muhammad Zacharia Elayyan, Ahmad Youssef Abeed, Wassim Dari, Baraa Wael Mahmoud, Muhammad Elayyan, Abed al-Fattah Abu Sayma and Muhammad Huwashya.

In the central West Bank district of Ramallah, two Palestinians were detained and identified as Ibrahim Muhammad Dar Abu Hassan and Tareq Bassem Abed Karaja.

In the northern West Bank district of Qalqiliya, Israeli forces detained one Palestinian, PPS identified him as Ismail Jebril.

The detentions carried out by Israeli forces mostly occur during overnight raids in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,781 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons.
