The largest number of arrests was witnessed in the West Bank province of Tulkarem where 56 Palestinians were arrested, 40 of whom were workers detained under the pretext of entering the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories without permits.

Meanwhile in Gaza, 10 Palestinians were arrested, including 6 youths who allegedly attempted to cross the border fence, 3 fishermen arrested off Gaza shore, and a Palestinian youth detained after being shot while taking part in the Great March of Return near Gaza border.

Al-Quds Center pointed out that the IOF during the reported period arrested 15 children and 13 women in different West Bank provinces.

The IOF also arrested three Palestinian journalists identified as Belal al-Tawil, Mashhour al-Wahwah and Azmi Banat. All of them are residents of al-Khalil province and were released after a few days of detention.

In early June the IOF arrested MP for Hamas's Change and Reform Bloc Ibrahim Abu Salem, and he was released days later.
