Gaza26Sep7RAMALLAH (PNIC):-Lawyer of the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission Yousef Nasasra on Tuesday said that a hearing is set to be held in Negev prison on 25th June to consider a request submitted by the Commission to release the cancer-stricken prisoner Rajae Abdul-Qader.

The health condition of Abdul-Qader, a resident of Ramallah who was sentenced to 45 months in Israeli prison, has recently deteriorated. Abdul-Qader is suffering from liver and lung cancer and he is supposed to undergo 14 chemotherapy sessions.

Lawyer Nasasra said that Abdul-Qader is suffering from severe pains in the chest and the liver and can barely sleep for three hours during the day.

He added that Abdul-Qader, who lost 6 kg of weight in a few days, complained of the ill-treatment he was subjected to while being transferred in the bosta, the Israeli inter-prison transfer vehicle.
