Israel destroys undersea tunnel from besieged Gaza

E-mail Print PDF

fqeer2GAZA (PNIC):-The Israeli occupation army on Sunday evening revealed that it destroyed a Hamas underwater tunnel in Gaza last week.

A spokesman for the Israeli army claimed that in a series of airstrikes on Gaza last Sunday, the army targeted a military site belonging to the Hamas naval forces in northern Gaza.

He added that the tunnel was designed to allow Hamas divers to slip out of Gaza and attack Israeli targets.

A picture attached to the Israeli army statement showed a sewage channel claimed to be part of the tunnel.

The Israeli occupation army bombed several sites in Gaza last week and the Palestinian resistance responded by firing mortar shells at Israeli settlements before an agreement was reached to abide by the 2014 truce.
