Bulk342GAZA (PNIC):-An Israeli court on Thursday sentenced Palestinian detainee Ramzi Abed, a lecturer at the Islamic University, to five years in jail.

The Shin Bet, Israel’s internal intelligence, arrested Abed after he tried to travel last September through Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing, north of Gaza.

The Shin Bet has accused, with no evidence, the academic of working as a hacker for the Hamas Movement and stealing information from computers and telecommunication devices belonging to the Israeli army and soldiers.
