Bulk274WEST BANK (PNIC):-Violent clashes erupted on Friday afternoon between Palestinian citizens and the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in different West Bank provinces.

Dozens of Palestinians organized a peaceful demonstration near al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem in protest at the Israeli excavations being carried out in Bab al-Rahma cemetery in favor of Judaization projects.

The Israeli police forces heavily fired teargas canisters and sound bombs to disperse the protesters and arrested four Palestinian youths.

The police further assaulted the journalists who were covering the event, smashed some of their cameras and equipment, forced them out of the area and deployed hundreds of policemen in the vicinity of the cemetery.

Meanwhile, a number of Palestinians were injured in clashes at the northern entrance to al-Bireh city following Friday prayer.

The IOF soldiers attacked the Palestinian protesters with live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets and teargas canisters.

Another popular demonstration was launched in Bil'in village near Ramallah against the settlement and the latest US decisions regarding Jerusalem. The demonstrators raised Palestinian flags and called for achieving national unity.

Other confrontations were witnessed in Bab al-Zawiya area in al-Khalil during which many Palestinian citizens suffered breathing difficulties after they were showered with teargas canisters.

Two Palestinian youths were injured by rubber-coated metal bullets while dozens chocked on teargas after the IOF quelled a popular demonstration in Kafr Qaddum east of Qalqilya launched in protest at the US Jerusalem move.

The IOF soldiers reportedly violently attacked the journalists who were present to cover the protest and drove them out of the place.
