63 Palestinian women held in Israeli prisons

Gaza7JuneRAMALLAH (PNIC):-63 Palestinian women are currently held in Israeli jails and detention centers, Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) said in a report marking the International Women’s Day.

At least six of the 63 female Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails are under the age of 18, the group added.

The number also includes nine injured female prisoners and 17 mothers, according to the sources.

The PPS also documented that over 15,000 Palestinian women have been detained by Israel since 1967.
