Gaza1Jan7GAZA (PNIC):-A Palestinian expert warned that Israel is preparing a final plan to Judaize Occupied Jerusalem taking advantage of the current regional and international circumstances.

Member of the Silwan Land Defense Committee Fakher Abu Diab said that Elad settler group's plan to launch 11 new settlement projects in the Old City of Jerusalem is part of this scheme.

Abu Diab told Quds Press that Elad was established by Israel to implement its Judaization projects in Jerusalem, affirming that the Israeli government supports its activities financially on a regular basis.

He pointed out that the US president Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital has served as a green light for more settlement projects in the holy city.

The Jerusalemite activist stressed that the fierce attack on Jerusalem, particularly the Old City and Silwan, is mainly aimed at changing the Arab and Islamic character of the city.

Elad group has revealed that it is preparing for the implementation of 11 new settlement projects approved in 2017 and 2018.

Elad said in a statement on its website that some of these projects do not require the approval of the Israeli government or the Jerusalem municipality, but the settler group still enjoys the support of both parties.

The statement noted that the Israeli-controlled Jerusalem municipality had permitted Elad to establish a 784-meter zip-line in the city. This project is part of a series of settlement projects adopted by the settler group in the Old City of Jerusalem, including the establishment of a restaurant and a cable car, under the pretext of promoting foreign and domestic tourism.
