Israel on high alert on sixth 'Friday of Anger'

Gaza22Dec3RAMALLAH (PNIC):-The Israeli occupation forces are on high alert in preparation for the protests expected to flare up in the West Bank and Gaza Strip on the sixth "Friday of Anger", Hebrew TV channel Seven reported.

Meanwhile, Palestinian national and Islamic forces called for marches and demonstrations following Friday prayer across the West Bank against the US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

US president Donald Trump on 6th December 2017 recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital and announced his intention to move his country's embassy in Israel to the holy city in defiance of the Arab and international rejection.

The occupied Palestinian territories since then have witnessed violent confrontations, especially on Fridays, in which 19 Palestinians have been killed while more than 4,000 injured.
