Gaza16June3RAMALLAH (PNIC):-Several Palestinians were injured while others were detained as clashes broke out at Qalqndia checkpoint south of Ramallah when Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) prevented their access to al-Aqsa Mosque.

According to the PNIC field reporter, IOF prevented thousands of worshipers from crossing the checkpoint to perform Friday prayers in al-Aqsa.

Many youths were forced to climb the Israeli apartheid wall. However, some of them were arrested.

Meanwhile, several worshipers suffered breathing problems due to the IOF’s heavy use of teargas bombs during the clashes.

A state of tension has been prevailed at Qalandia checkpoint, the sole link between West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.
