Gaza19May5RAMALLAH (PNIC):-Lawyer Fadwa al-Barghouthi, the wife of prisoner Marwan al-Barghouthi, has accused officials from the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Fatah movement of making efforts to abort the open-ended hunger strike in Israeli jails, which has been ongoing for 32 days.

In press remarks to al-Khaleej Online, Barghouthi affirmed she obtained confirmed information about political moves to frustrate the hunger strike, warning that the situation in Israeli jails had reached a boiling point.

She also said that officials from the PA and Fatah had conducted contacts with Israel to find a way to break the hunger strike.

She expressed her belief that all attempts being made under and above the table to undermine the hunger strike would fail due to the prisoners’ steadfastness and strong will.
