Hamas hails Christians for reciting Adhan in churches

The Israeli desire to quash Adhan (Muslim call to prayers) in the occupied Palestinian territories shall never see the day, political bureau member of Hamas Mahmoud al-Zahhar said, hailing Christians for reciting Adhan in churches.

“It is no wonder that Adhan is recited in Christian churches. Soon, it will be recited in the Knesset,” said Zahhar.

Speaking during a ceremony to launch the construction works of the Onbashi Hassan Hospital in Gaza, Zahhar said Muslim worshipers will always recite Adhan via mosque loudspeakers in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

“Adhan will remain everywhere, in our hearts, at our homes,” he added.

“Someday we will embrace the soil of our land as we defeat the Israeli colonizers,” he vowed.

Zahhar further acclaimed Turkey’s active role in sponsoring charity and reconstruction works in the blockaded Gaza Strip.
